Terms & Conditions
Effective date: [TO FILL: effective date]
These terms are an agreement between you and Strike X ("XCue", "we", "us") for the use of the XCue app. By creating an account or using XCue you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use XCue.
1. Your account
- XCue is not for children under 13. If you are aged 13 to 17, you need the permission of a parent or guardian to use XCue.
- Give accurate details and keep them up to date. One person, one player account.
- Keep your password private. You are responsible for activity on your account.
- Club accounts are created by XCue for the club that manages them and may only be used by that club.
2. Fair play
XCue rankings only work if results are real. You agree not to:
- report false scores or results, or confirm results you know are wrong;
- arrange results, play against your own accounts or let someone else play for you;
- tamper with or misuse CueMind tables, table codes or match codes;
- harass, threaten or impersonate other players or clubs.
We may review disputes and suspicious results, correct or remove results, adjust ranks and points, freeze rankings, and suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
3. Rankings and seasons
Ranks, points, zones and seasons are calculated by XCue's rules, explained in "How Scoring Works". We may change the rules to keep the ladder fair; changes apply from the time they are made. Rankings are for recreation and have no monetary value.
4. Clubs, matches and tournaments
Matches are played at independent clubs. Clubs are responsible for their venues, tables, prices and opening hours. Tournaments shown in XCue are organised by the club or organiser named on the tournament, who is responsible for its rules, prizes and conduct. Club tournaments and promotions are reviewed by XCue before they appear, but XCue is not the organiser.
5. CueMind tables
When you enter a table code, the CueMind table records your match and sends the result to XCue. Check the players shown on the table before you start. Results recorded by a table are final unless corrected through XCue's dispute process.
6. Your content
You keep ownership of the posts, photos and comments you share. You give XCue a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, show and share them within XCue to run the service. XCue has zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. In posts, comments, photos, profiles and usernames you must not:
- harass, bully, threaten or intimidate anyone, or encourage self-harm;
- post hate speech or slurs, or attack people for their race, religion, nationality, gender, sexuality, disability or age;
- post sexual, violent, graphic or otherwise objectionable content;
- post spam, scams, advertising that XCue has not approved, or personal information about other people;
- post anything illegal, misleading, or that you do not have the right to share.
XCue filters posts and comments for offensive words. Every post, comment and player profile has a Report option, and you can block any player: you will no longer see their posts or comments, and they cannot comment on or like your posts or ask to join your open matches. Unblock them in Settings › Blocked users.
We review reports promptly, normally within 24 hours. Content reported by several players is hidden until we have reviewed it. When content breaks these rules we remove it and may warn the user, suspend their account or remove it permanently. Reports are confidential: the reported person is not told who reported them. You can also contact us at any time (see Help & Support).
7. Availability
We work to keep XCue available and accurate, but it is provided "as is". Features may change, be added or be removed. We are not responsible for losses caused by interruptions, errors or events outside our control, to the extent permitted by law.
8. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Malaysian consumer law. Otherwise, to the extent permitted by law, XCue is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for anything that happens at clubs, tables or tournaments run by others.
9. Ending your use
You can stop using XCue and delete your account at any time in Settings > Delete account. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. We will show the new effective date and, for important changes, tell you in the app. Continuing to use XCue means you accept the updated terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and the courts of Malaysia have jurisdiction.
